Bespoke Commissions

If you’ve an idea to discuss, perhaps reworking much loved family cutlery into memorable jewellery pieces, please drop me a line.

This bespoke commission was from a solid silver mustard spoon from a families late Mother and Father and I made two pendants for the two daughters of the family so they can share wearing the silver which has great sentimental value to them

"Rachel has made a set of two beautiful pendants for my sister and myself from a silver mustard spoon that belonged to our parents. The pendants are both lovely pieces of jewellery and also give us each a memento from our parents lives, which we can now share."

This commission was made from a wedding present from over 60 years ago! I made two pairs of earrings and a pendant using the absolutely stunning scalloped shell spoons - Loved making these!

"Thank you so much for the earrings and necklace; they are absolutely beautiful and you have worked wonders. I think I am going to keep the pendant and a pair of earrings and wear them as a set. Opening the box was such a pleasure because they are beautifully packaged and having the small information card simply made them more special. I am going to see my mum in Sunderland next week and I will show her what you have done with the spoons she was given for a wedding present 60 years ago."

This was for a lovely lady making two family engraved silver teaspoons into four pieces of jewellery. The two engraved ends of the teaspoons were made into a bracelet linked with silver chain. One of the teaspoon bowls was made into a folded spoon pendant and the other into a wraparound ring. The last piece of the handle was made into a toe ring (not pictured)

“Last year Rachel made 4 gorgeous pieces of jewellery from some old family tea spoons, i love them all from a very delicate bracelet showing of the initials on the handles to the most comfy toe ring ever (been wearing them daily for 17 years never had one more comfy) a chunky ring and pendant. She paid attention to all the details I wanted and tinkered with it until it was perfect. Not only 4 great pieces but a great experience being involved in. Thanks Rachel.”

This is a Solid silver engraved Grandma’s christening spoon which I made into a pea in a pod necklace and a little silver hallmarked tab necklace for her Granddaughter.

pea in a pod necklace commission

"Rachel has turned my Mother’s old silver Christening spoon into 2 pieces of beautiful artisan jewellery. The necklaces are both original and beautifully crafted by Rachel. It was wonderful to take something that had been languishing in a drawer and turn it into a family heirloom now treasured by her grand daughter. Thank you"

Here some family cutlery with Great Grandma's name engraved on it, was hand-crafted into pendants for the nieces and keyrings for the nephews, as Christmas Presents.

“Thanks for the lovely necklaces and key rings you made for me from the spoons and forks that were part of my Husbands family that belonged to his Great Grandmother.
They were all given as Christmas presents to  the family they loved them and they all thought they were brilliant.
I really appreciated that you made a couple first for me to see and that we had a talk about the different ideas. Also that you took the time to find out were the cutlery was made.”
